So excited and honored to be featured on the 100 Layer Cake blog. They are one of the top wedding websites in the world, and provide a fresh, crafty view on weddings. Brittany & Glen's wedding along with their save the dates, invites, and programs were featured today on the blog. To check out the post, click here. Thank you Brittany & Glen for allowing me to be a part of your special day not only with the photography, but also with the design of your invites, save the dates, and programs. I wish you the best!
So I met Brittany about a year ago when she contacted me looking for a photographer for her wedding. We had a really great initial meeting about her wedding and all the thoughts she had and details in mind. It's great to see all of those details come to fruition. Everything turned out Beautiful. They did a spectacular job with everything. As many of you might know, I am also a graphic designer, so I always try to implement the design where I can with my photography. Brittany and I discussed her invites and her theme around the wedding and I proposed the idea of doing drink coasters for the invites. She immediately loved the idea. I designed the save the dates and invites, and printed them using letterpress and stamping methods. Brittany, Glen and their friends helped out with the stamping too which made things go a lot faster. I letterpressed them at Device Printshop, which I co-own with a fellow designer and business partner. The save the dates consisted of one coaster in a kraft envelope, and the invites were a set of 3 coasters with one being reply coaster with reply envelope. After the invites were done I designed the programs as well, which consisted of screen printed brown kraft bags with the folding program inside, wrapped with black and white twine, also printed via Device Printshop. Thanks Britt & Glen, it was a pleasure to work with you guys.
